City of Mount Pleasant Welcomes Miykael Reeve as Director of Finance.

Mount Pleasant City Manager Ed Thatcher announced today that Miykael Reeve has joined the city’s executive team as Director of Finance, bringing with her over 20 years of experience as a finance professional and auditor.
“We are thrilled to have a professional of Miykael’s caliber working with us,” said Thatcher. “She is highly skilled in every aspect of government finance administration from audits and budgets to payroll and utility billing. Equally important is her heart for public service and genuine desire to be a good leader and team player among her fellow staff members.”
Reeve has earned the Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) and Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO) designations. She is the Co-Chair of the Ethics Committee for the Government Finance Officer Association of Texas (GFOAT) and holds a Bachelors of Business Administration in Accounting.
Prior to joining the City of Mount Pleasant, Reeve was County Auditor in Ellis County, Texas. She has also served as Director of Finance for the City of Red Oak, Texas for eight years. During that tenure, Reeve’s budgets and Audits were awarded the prestigious Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting and the city’s bond ratings were upgraded from A to AA by Fitch and S&P. She also served the City of Ovilla, Texas, as Account Manager and has private sector experience as an auditor.
