Code Enforcement
The purpose of the Code Enforcement Department is to improve the safety, health and welfare of all citizens living within the City of Mount Pleasant through fair and unbiased enforcement of City codes and ordinances.

A Code Enforcement Officer is a sworn officer or investigator, employed by the city, who possesses specialized training in, and whose primary duties are the prevention, detection, investigation, and enforcement of violations of laws regulating public nuisance, public health, safety and welfare, and more.
