Mount Pleasant Public Library offers programs and many other activities for children, teens, and adults. In addition to library programs, several interest groups meet at the library. Upcoming Events will be posted to the library calendar.
Public interests are considered when planning events, so please let us know what types of programs you would like to attend.

Programs for Kids and Teens

Activities for kids, teens, and families are held occasionally throughout the year.  See the calendar for upcoming event information.

Story Time

Story Time sessions for children 5 years and under are presented each Tuesday at 11 a.m. Activities include stories, fingerplays, simple crafts, and more. A parent or adult caregiver must attend with the child.

Summer Reading Club

Read for fun and get freebies from local restaurants.  Library staff is looking forward to Summer 2013, so get ready for BIG changes.....and LOTS of fun, of course!  See the Summer Fun page for more information and dates.

Let us help you with a new skill or a troublesome device! Book A Librarian for a 30-45 minute session and recieve one-to-one instruction and guidance. Choose a session listed below or suggest a new one:

Book-A-Librarian sessions must be scheduled in advance. Request a session online, or come by the library.

Interest Groups

Titus County Genealogical Society

Group meets on the second Thursday of each month at noon, excluding June and July. 

Titus County Historical Preservation Society/ Titus County Historical Commission

Groups meet together on the second Tuesday of each month, excluding June and July.

Pulpwood Queen Book Club

Open group meets monthly. 

North East Texas Writers Organization (NETWO)

Group meets on the second Thursday of each month,except June and July.  Meetings begin at 4 p.m.
