Open Records Request
Anyone may request information from the Mount Pleasant Police Department pursuant to the Public Information Act. The Mount Pleasant Police Department has ten (10) business days to respond to your request. In leu of releasing information, the Mount Pleasant Police Department may request an opinion from the Open Records Division of the Texas Attorney General's Office. In the event the department deems the requested information to be exempt from public discloser, a decision from the Texas Attorney General will be required.  The department will not release information on a case with an open investigation.

There is a $0.10 (ten cent) per page (standard size paper) cost. Information copied onto non-standard size paper, computer disc, and photographs will require additional charges. If a request is more than 50 pages, the charge will include costs of $15.00 per hour per employee needed to compile the data requested.
