Communication
The City of Mount Pleasant has one of the best-equipped Communication Divisions in East Texas. The Communications Division is a civillian component of the Police Department consisting of a communications manager, and eight communication employees.

This Division has the responsibility to staff and answer, on a 24-hour basis, the telephones upon which calls for service are received.  In Mount Pleasant and Titus County, 911 calls are automatically routed to the Mount Pleasant Police Department and answered.  From there calls are routed to the appropriate agency. The Communications Division serves as a support entity for the entire Mount Pleasant Police Department and Fire for Titus County. 

This Division works as a close-knit team of professionals. The Communications Division uses state of the art Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Record Management System (RMS), and Mobil Computing System (MCS) to receive and dispatch calls to officers and fire fighters.
