EMPLOYEE SPOTLIGHT – JAMES STORY

Meet James Story!

James is a very private person, but we were able to get a few good nuggets of information out of him.  He was born in Grapevine, lived in Dallas and now resides in Bogata, TX with his wife Shannon, who he’s been married to for 28 years.  They have three children, Jeremiah 37, Heather 34, and Sarah 26.

James has been with the city since December of 2001.  He began working part time at the airport and part time at animal control.  After a year of working part-time in both departments, when given the choice, he chose to work at the airport full-time and has had a great career in that department.  One of the things he loves most about his job is that he gets to meet all types of people.

A fun fact about James, it that he has meet Carroll Shelby an American race car driver, car designer, and entrepreneur many times at the airport.  He loves to hunt, fish, and take trips with his wife.  His proudest hunt was a 19-point buck, his largest catch was a 30 lbs. catfish, and Hawaii is one of his favorite places that he’s visited.
