We’ve had a “murder” in the library. Come by, take a look at the crime scene and check out some books related to the foul deed.

It looks like romance rules the month of May as six authors made the Library Reads Hall of Fame. Abbi Waxman is on the list with Adult Assembly Required. “Laura Costello, a recent transplant to LA’s Larchmont Village, is still recovering from the emotional and physical trauma of a car accident. With the help of some new friends and the return of beloved characters like Nina Hill and hilarious little Claire, Laura slowly finds herself and her voice.” (5-17) Jaime Bink

Book Lovers is by Emily Henry. “Nora loves her big city and her literary agent job, but agrees to go on a trip to a small town to improve her relationship with her sister. Enter Charlie Lastra, a book editor from this quaint little town. This is a romance about family and finally putting yourself first. This is for fans of The Worst Best Man and The Love Hypothesis.” (5-3) Brenna Timm

Popular author, Chris Bohjalian’s newest is The Lioness. “Set in 1964, a Hollywood starlet treats a select group of friends to a life-changing experience on a safari in the Serengeti. It’s a wonderful experience until they are all kidnapped. This is another page turner from Bohjalian that leaves readers mesmerized and horrified. This one’s for fans of The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo and A Touch of Stardust.” (5-10) Eileen Acosta

Something Wilder is the latest from Christina Lauren. “Lily and Leo had a once-in-a-lifetime kind of love, but then Leo disappears. Ten years later, they are brought back together when Leo is on a boy’s trip at Lily’s cowboy retreat. A misstep finds the group seeking a buried treasure. Crazy plot twists and betrayals guarantee a fresh, readable romance.” (5-17) Taylor Banze

Jennifer Ryan made the list with The Wedding Dress Sewing Circle. “When fashion designer Cressida Westcott loses everything during the London Blitz, she returns to the family manor house and joins the village sewing circle. Soon the vicar’s daughter needs a wedding dress despite clothing rations. The pleasurable plot focuses on overcoming adversity through friendship.” (5-31) Sarah Siegel

The final Hall of Fame author is Jasmine Guillory with By the Book. “This is an enjoyable Beauty and the Beast inspired tale. Editorial assistant Isabele has to handle a ‘cancelled’ celebrity, Beau Towers, when she moves into his mansion to help him write his memoir. Isabelle is likeable and her relationship with Beau, though contentious at first, grows in a believably sweet way.” (5-3) Jill Rupp
