UTILITY BILLING CYCLE

Cycle 1 is billed on the 10th of the month and for residents and businesses located west of Jefferson Avenue. Cycle 2 is billed on the 23rd of the month for residents and businesses located east of Jefferson Avenue.

Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm excluding public holidays. After regular office hours contact the Mount Pleasant Police Department at 903-575-4004.

Visit the Water Department to complete a bank draft authorization form and provide  a voided check. No additional cost and you will receive your paid bill in the mail. A bank draft authorization form can be downloaded below.

UTILITY DISCLOSURE (H.B. 872)

In an effort to protect sensitive customer information from predatory practices, the legislature passed H.B. 872 that applies to information held by the City relating to water, wastewater, sewer, gas, garbage, electricity, or drainage service. Effective immediately, the City cannot disclose information relating to customer accounts including address, usage, disconnections, etc. You may request the City to release this information in response to a public information request by completing the form below.

RESIDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

  • All residents are provided with and shall use a container. All waste must be bagged.
  • Brush, tree limbs and construction debris shall not be placed in container. Brush and limbs shall be put out for collection after being tied in bundles that do not exceed four (4) feet in length.
  • All residents which are serviced by a paved alley, shall place their solid waste outside the fence or property line for collection. Where there is no paved alley, solid waste shall be placed in front of the property at the side-street on the garbage truck route.
  • You may schedule a bulk pickup for items weighing no more than 40 pounds by contacting Republic Services at (903) 575-1568.
