A police officer may come to your home or place of employment and arrest you.
To avoid this, the defendant must come to court and make a plea. At that time you will need to make arrangements to pay your fine or set up a court date for trial. Once this has been done, the warrant of arrest will be cleared.
Capias Pro Fine
When a defendant fails to pay his fine as previously arranged with the court, a capias pro fine is issued. A fee of $50 per offense is then added to the fine amount.
A police officer may come to your home or place of employment and arrest you. To avoid this, the defendant must pay a minimum of half of the total fines and agree to complete the original payment arrangements.
Extension of Payment
If you need an extension of time to pay a fine, you must request it when you make your plea. The court will grant you 30 days to pay the fine.
If you require more than 30 days, you will need to request a payment agreement. A fee of $25 will be added for each offense, as required by state law.
