Winter Weather Update: City Preparedness

The City is prepared and staffed to continue operations tomorrow, including the Utilities, Streets and Public Works Departments. City trucks are on standby to sand streets where and when as needed beginning at 5:30 a.m. The Utilities Office will be open to the public. However, the Public Library will close. As always, our First Responders including Police, Fire and EMS will protect and serve 24/7, and we are grateful to them.

TxDOT Roads:

TxDOT is now pre-treating and will re-treat TxDOT roads and bridges as needed.

Republic Services Trash Collection:

Republic Services is accessing the weather situation hourly. As of now, they plan to run all routes as normally scheduled. If conditions become unsafe for large trucks on city streets, service will be halted and rescheduled for the safety of citizens and the drivers.
