Employee Spotlight – Estefania Flores

Meet Estefania Flores from the Mount Pleasant Animal Shelter! Originally from Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, Estefania has been part of the City team since June 2020. Although she may come across as quiet and serious at first, she’s actually very easygoing and loves what she does, especially getting to work closely with the animals every day.

Outside of work, Estefania enjoys reading and spending quality time with her family. She’s been married to Antonio Flores for 12 years, and they have three wonderful children: Daisy, Ethan, and Emma.

One of the biggest challenges Estefania has faced in her career was learning almost everything on her own with very little guidance in the beginning. But through determination and initiative, she taught herself what she needed to know and even stepped up to help lighten the load for her coworkers.

We’re grateful to have Estefania on our team and appreciate the heart she brings to the Animal Shelter and the City of Mount Pleasant.
