The City of Mount Pleasant Board of Adjustments will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 5:30 p.m., in the Council Chambers at Mount Pleasant City Hall, 501 N Madison, Mount Pleasant, Texas to consider the following item(s):

Conduct a public hearing and consider a request submitted by the City of Mount Pleasant for approval of a variance from Zoning Code §155.22 to reduce the minimum required lot area from 7,000 square feet to 6,500 square feet. The purpose of the variance is to allow the subdivision of an existing lot currently containing two residential structures and to bring the property into compliance on MT PLEASANT CITY BLOCKS BLK 191 LOT 5A .304 AC also addressed as 701 Choctaw.
All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and will be given an opportunity to be heard. Property owners within 200 feet of the subject property are hereby notified of this request. Written comments may also be submitted via email to the address provided below. To ensure inclusion in the materials reviewed by the Board of Adjustment, written comments should be submitted on or before July 14, 2026.
