CITY BURN BAN STILL IN EFFECT

UPDATE: This Burn Ban has been lifted as of 10/18/23

The City of Mount Pleasant remains in an outdoor burn ban. The approximate 1.5 inches of rain received in September has not been enough to improve drought conditions.

The Mount Pleasant area was moved from “Moderate Drought” status last week to “Severe Drought” status this week. Any open fire such as burning yard waste or using fire to clear lands of natural vegetation is prohibited. Thank you for doing your part to keep your neighbors, property and our first responders safe.
