2023 Citywide Employee of the Year
Teimeyer “Bucky” White was named 2023 Citywide Employee of the Year during the Annual Employee Awards Celebration held December 15 at the Mount Pleasant Civic Center.
“We are grateful to all of our employees and officers for their hard work and dedication,” said City Manager Ed Thatcher. “Local government is the closest form of government to the people that we serve, and I am proud to say that as we name the overall employee of the year, I firmly believe that all of our employees are the best of the best in among the cities in Texas and across the U.S. Thank you for your commitment to service.”
Bucky began his employment with the City in 2017 as a Tech I in the Utilities Department and has gone above and beyond ever since to serve all City employees, citizens and customers.
Bucky has always exemplified the highest traits of an exemplary employee,” said Mr. Thatcher. “He’s hard working, humble, skilled, punctual, positive, proactive, reliable. And he’s a fine leader of his crew.”
“Bucky is always just a call away when you need him, and he arrives with the mindset and abilities to fix whatever problem we have. And Bucky is always respectful.”
