City of Mount Pleasant Honors Local Educator and Leader

Mayor Tracy Craig, Sr. issued a Proclamation of Appreciation during the September 6 City Council meeting honoring Mrs. Mae Lois Tudman White for her extraordinary contributions to the community throughout 50 years of service to the Mount Pleasant Independent School District as an educator as well as a leader and participant on many educational committees and in numerous educational organizations.

Mayor Craig noted that Mrs. White had earned the highest honor of “Teacher of the Year” many times throughout her tenure with MPISD while also dedicating herself to service as an involved member of the Maranatha Church of God in Christ for the past 33 years.

Mrs. White has demonstrated her faith as a Bible Study teacher, Assistant to the Secretary and a member of Finance Committee. She is currently District Missionary of the Progressive/Faith Temple and Chairman of Finance of the State Women’s Department.
