Submit your request online to the City Secretary.
In accordance with the Texas Public Information Act, Public Information requests must be submitted in writing. Requests should be for documents, or other information that is already in existence. The City of Mount Pleasant is not required to answer questions, perform legal research, or comply with a continuing request to supply information on a periodic basis. The City of Mount Pleasant may, however ask for clarification of requests if it is uncertain as to what is being requested. Some records of the City of Mount Pleasant may be exempt from disclosure.
When making a request for public information, please keep in mind that some information may accrue a cost to process. Should the office determine that your request will be in excess of $40, a cost estimate will be provided to you. The City charter is the basic document that defines the municipal organization, powers, functions and essential procedures of the City government.
