Meet Melissa Ayala, a dedicated officer who began her journey in law enforcement 15 years ago with the Pittsburg Police Department. Today, she serves in the Criminal Investigations Division of the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
Melissa is Bike Patrol Certified and has a passion for cycling. She’s an active member of MPPD Bike Patrol and loves engaging with the community.
Originally from Omaha, TX, Melissa officially became a City of Mount Pleasant employee on June 16, 2016, a milestone she celebrates each year.
Her favorite part of the job? Making a difference in children’s lives and showing them the positive impact officers can have.
Outside of work, Melissa and her family enjoy camping and volleyball. Her husband Ruben and their three children, Oliver, Ezekiel, and Isabella, love spending time together on weekend camping trips and Sunday volleyball matches in their backyard.
Fun fact about her family: Oliver just started driving while Isabella just started walking!
