FULL BURN BAN IN EFFECT DUE TO DROUGHT CONDITIONS

The City of Mount Pleasant has issued a ban on all outdoor burning, effective immediately.

The burn ban will remain in effect until conditions in regards to severe heat and drought improve significantly. Please do your part to help avoid a wildfire in our community. During a full burn ban, all outdoor fires are prohibited, including grilling or fire pits. Also prohibited are any other form of open fire such as burning yard waste like grass or weeds and using fire to clear lands of natural vegetation. The ban will remain in effect until further notice.
