Grand Opening for the Mount Pleasant Sports Complex is September 9

The City of Mount Pleasant invites the community to celebrate the Grand Opening of the new 145-acre Mount Pleasant Sports Complex on Thursday, September 9, from 6 to 9 p.m.

The Grand Opening will coincide with the Fall Youth Soccer season kick off and feature live music, food trucks, miniature train rides and complimentary hot dogs, snow cones, ice cream and popcorn! Guests can also enjoy the splash pad, disc golf and trails.

Live music begins at 6 p.m., the ribbon cutting ceremony is at 6:30 p.m. and will be followed by more great music until 9 p.m. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets and get ready for outdoor family fun and food!

Families may bring their own coolers, but no alcohol, please. Vaccinating, masking and social distancing are advised as COVID-19/variant cases are increasing.

The Mount Pleasant Sports Complex is located at 100 Billy Wayne Flanagan Parkway.
