Mt. Pleasant High School Graduates Assist in Florida Shark Attack

The City of Mount Pleasant benefits from a community spirit in which neighbors, friends and co-workers value each other and care for each other; and each day citizens exemplify this spirit in small acts and large acts. On June 7, Carson Zachry, Conlee Zachry, Ella Cross, Ali Fair Cheek, and Abigail Gutierrez all Mt. Pleasant High School graduates demonstrated leadership and courage upon noticing someone needing assistance after being attacked by a shark on Rosemary Beach in Florida.
These ladies acted swiftly to help pull one of the victims from the water and render aid until First Responders arrived on the scene. Their instinct and nature to help those in distress saved and changed the lives of more than just the victims. We are proud to call these ladies heroes.
