Found and Abandoned Property
Property collected as evidence, recovered from any source or turned over as found property for safekeeping, is stored in the Property and Evidence Room of the Mount Pleasant Police Department.
Citizens can make an appointment with Property and Evidence before arriving to pick up property items to ensure that someone is available to help. To schedule an appointment to pick up the property, you can call 903-380-7176. If no one is available, please leave a message including your name, phone number, case report number (if known), and property description. Proof of ownership will be required.
Disclaimer
In accordance with Article 18.17 of the Texas Code of Criminal Procedure, this notice serves as public notification of property that has been recovered, seized, or otherwise obtained by the Mount Pleasant Police Department and remains unclaimed. In accordance with this, if the owner does not claim the property within 90 days of the posted date, the property may be disposed of. After covering the reasonable costs of storing and disposing of the property, any money from its sale will be deposited into the municipality’s treasury.
