Today is National Administrative Professionals Day, and we are honored to recognize the staff members who help make things tick in the City!
What is National Administrative Professionals Day?
This is a day dedicated to recognizing and celebrating the contributions of administrative professionals in the workplace. The holiday is typically celebrated on the Wednesday of the last full week of April, which is April 26th in 2023. (Today!)
The day was first observed in the United States in 1952 as “National Secretaries Week” and was created to acknowledge the importance of secretaries, administrative assistants, receptionists, and other administrative support professionals in the workplace. The name of the holiday was changed to “Administrative Professionals Week” in 2000 to better reflect the changing roles and responsibilities of administrative professionals.
The holiday has become an important way for employers to show their appreciation for the hard work and dedication of their administrative professionals. These individuals often perform important tasks that keep the workplace running smoothly, such as managing calendars, organizing meetings and handling correspondence.
We are proud to join employers across the nation today in recognizing and celebrating the contributions of administrative professionals in the workplace!
