PROTECTING OUR STUDENTS AND COMMUNITY
In May 2023, the Mount Pleasant ISD, Titus Regional Medical Center, local law enforcement and first responders conducted an active shooter drill at Mount Pleasant High School.
Under the coordination of Mount Pleasant Fire Chief/Emergency Management Coordinator Larry McRae, the full range of participants, including student and staff volunteers, faced a simulated active shooter inside the high school building.
This video captures the highlights of the drill that were used in debrief sessions and additional training by those in our community who protect and serve.
Please be advised that content contained in the video may be disturbing to some as every effort was made to portray the full reality impact of an active shooter incident.
