CITY HOSTS GROUNDBREAKING CELEBRATION FOR CHICK-FIL-A
The City of Mount Pleasant hosted a Groundbreaking Celebration on January 18 for the new Chick-fil-A, now under construction at 105 E. 16th Street.
Attending to welcome franchise owners, Chuck and Lynne Howard and their family, were Mayor Tracy Craig, Sr. and members of the City Council; City Manager Ed Thatcher; CEO/President of the Titus County/Mount Pleasant Chamber of Commerce Richard Bonney; and Executive Director of the Mount Pleasant Economic Development Corporation Nathan Tafoya.
Flying in from Chick-fil-A corporate headquarters in Atlanta for the occasion was East Texas Market Lead Bill Chiles (who later enjoyed a tour of the Mount Pleasant area).
The Chick-fil-Cows also made a grand appearance, with “Baby Cow” sporting a Mount Pleasant Tigers football jersey!
Chuck and his family are already vested in the Mount Pleasant community, where they have lived the past 2018 and look forward to bringing their vision of “Reach Out and Feed Our Community, both Inside and Outside the Restaurant” to life.
The anticipated Grand Opening is June 1.
