REQUIREMENTS
- Must be TCOLE certified
- You must be a citizen of the United States, 21 years of age or older
- Possess at least one of the following:
- High school diploma
- GED equivalent with 30 credit hours from an accredited college or university
- No felony or class A misdemeanor convictions; including deferred adjudications
- No misdemeanor convictions within the last 10 years
- No pending litigation-criminal or civil (including divorce)
Applicants must pass a physical fitness test (2000-meter row on Concept 2 rower) and an oral board interview.

- Advanced Officer- $175/month

- Field Training Officer- $20/shift
- K9 Officer- $350/month
- Detective- $25/week
- City Longevity- $10/month for each year of service
Training
- All training needs costs are covered
SALARY
Officer: $54,170-$70,680 base pay, plus incentive pays below.
Annual salaries are based on years of service for officer, sergeant and lieutenant positions. Lateral transfer salaries for officers are based on prior service credit with TCOLE as approved by the Chief of Police.
SCHEDULE
Officers work two-on, two-off; three-on, two-off; two on, three off. 12 hr. shifts with one 8hr shift during the pay period.

POLICE OFFICER
