PUBLIC HEARING: Annexation of land Hwy 271 and north of FM 1314 – Case No: A-2022-01

Hold a Public Hearing to consider approval of an ordinance for the annexation of 512.9-acres of land situated in the W. G. Davis Survey, A-177, the Thomas McPeters Survey, A-374, the John H. Ore Survey, A-423, the William Porter Survey, A437, and the Jas. English Survey, A-194, Titus County, Texas, said 512.9 acres, being based on existing deeds, maps and aerial photography, no field work was performed to describe this tract and located in Titus County, Texas, generally located adjacent to U.S. Highway 271 and north of FM 1314, and take any action necessary.

Proposed Thoroughfare Closure:

The request for the proposed thoroughfare right-of-way closure affects an unimproved portion of Park Place right-of-way located adjacent to Lots 4-B, Block 5, Latson Heights, City of Mount Pleasant, Titus County Texas.

The Planning and Zoning Commission will hold the first Public Hearing concerning this case and will forward a recommendation to the City Council. The City Council will then hold a second Public Hearing concerning the case and will make a final decision to approve or deny the request for the thoroughfare closure. You are receiving this notice because the Titus County Tax Appraisal District records indicate that you own property within 200 feet of the proposed request. You are encouraged to attend the meeting.
